In addition to the garden landscaping and hard landscaping work we carry out for our clients in and around the Weybridge and Hampstead areas, we serve as an experienced fencing contractor that supplies and installs fantastic products which can really make a difference to an outdoor space’s overall aesthetic. We also build high-performance garden decking that can give you a beautiful area to enjoy during all seasons.
On this page, we explore these two areas of our business in further detail. If you’d like to discuss your ideas or get a competitive quote that you won’t find with other high-end decking and fencing contractors operating in the aforementioned areas, pick up the phone and call 020 3478 8444.
The practical goal of any fencing is to define your garden boundary and protect it from intruders, accidental or malicious. But fencing also fulfils an essential aesthetic purpose, framing other elements within your garden landscaping scheme, and contributing to its overall effectiveness for better or worse. So it’s essential that when you enlist a fencing contractor, you choose one knowledgeable enough to find the ideal product for your garden, keeping in mind both the visual and pragmatic standards you’re aiming for.
Lifestyle Gardens Design & Build excels at this. We have something for everyone – from a homeowner in Weybridge with a traditional, English country garden aesthetic, to a commercial property owner in Hampstead with a more contemporary/modern scheme. From standard fence panels to custom-made screening, bespoke to your requirements, we can ensure that you both bring privacy to your property, while improving its aesthetic and subsequently, its value.
With every aspect of what we do, not just as a fencing contractor but as a garden and hard landscaping specialist, we make sure to only work with the best brands and manufacturers in the UK. This is why we’re a proud “Expert Installer” of Jacksons Fencing products. Jacksons goes above and beyond what’s expected of a fencing manufacturer, and creates beautiful, long-lasting fences that exude wow-factor. Plus, they’re guaranteed for 25 years – making them an extremely cost-effective investment.
We’ve spent years testing decking materials to ensure that they meet our high standards, and deserve to feature in our clients’ outdoor spaces. One company we’ve found producing fantastic decking to the highest possible quality standards is SAiGE. Lifestyle Gardens Design & Decking is proud to now serve as an approved SAiGE “Preferred Installer” for Weybridge, Hampstead and all surrounding areas throughout Surrey and London. Below, we’ve detailed the three main materials used for decking, and how they differ.
Softwood – Typically made from evergreen coniferous trees, often Scandinavian Redwood or Spruce, softwood decking is the cheapest type and provides great value for money. Keep in mind it requires semi-regular maintenance, and many homeowners find that the aesthetic softwood offers isn’t quite up the level of its hardwood or composite cousins.
Hardwood – Most hardwood decking products are made from broadleaved trees like the Yellow Balau. It looks fantastic and is very hardwearing, but it’ll still need yearly maintenance (mainly oiling) and costs more than softwood alternatives.
Composite – An increasingly popular choice for decking projects we take on around Weybridge, Hampstead and surrounding Surrey and London locales, composite products are made from recycled materials and are thus are a very eco-friendly choice. They’re extremely low maintenance and usually look to replicate the look of softwood/hardwood decks.
